The Rotary Club of Marondera was founded in 1960. Over the years, the members dropped down to 4 members namely Rotarian Mufuka, Banda, Gwata, Makorimani. These 4 became the pillars holding the club from crumbling. Currently its sitting at 31 members vibrant members dedicated for mission.

The Club is a member of Rotary International, a. worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocation, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world

The motto of the Rotary Club of Marondera, and Rotary International, is "Service Above Self" and this is at the very heart of our mission. The Club has been a leader in community projects locally and abroad including renovation of old peoples homes, book donations, funding health service initiatives and providing humanitarian assistance to disaster victims, the less fortunate and other organizations. Our projects do not only benefit those that we serve, but also bring members closer in fellowship. We mix service with fun, fellowship and opportunities for networking, not just at our weekly evening meetings but at a number of social events throughout the year. Our roster includes individuals from virtually every type of business within the Marondera community and abroad.
